New We Built the Titanic campaign launches to 7 million viewers around Europe

Tune in to National Geographic on Friday 7th October to view a new Northern Ireland tourism campaign which will target almost seven million potential holidaymakers in Great Britain and Mainland Europe.

A new five-part TV series called We Built the Titanic will air on the popular National Geographic channel in Great Britain, France, Germany and the Netherlands – key markets for inbound tourism to
Northern Ireland.  The Tourism Ireland campaign also includes extensive TV advertising around each of the five programmes. This features attractive footage of Belfast and Northern Ireland and conveys fun, friendliness, the great music scene and the Titanic connection.
 

The campaign is just part of Tourism Ireland’s promotional programme in the run-up to and during NI2012.  Over the next 12 months the organisation will invest millions in the most extensive marketing programme ever undertaken for Northern Ireland – to include TV, press, radio and cinema advertising, extensive online campaigns and social media activity, promotional events and publicity.
 

The new National Geographic promotion comes on top of Tourism Ireland’s ongoing autumn campaign, which is under way around the globe, highlighting Northern Ireland as a great place for a holiday or short break.
 

The We Built The Titanic series follows a team of experts who recreate sections of history’s most famous ship, uncover the lives who those who built the ship and reveal secrets about a ship that was once thought to be unsinkable.  The series begins on the National Geographic channel on Friday 7th October at 6pm and is repeated the following day at 8am.  Tune in and enjoy!
