Marketing Through the Challenges in
Great Britain
Campaign to woo British visitors in full swing
We all know it's
tough out there...but we have 117 GB routes operated by 18 sea and
air carriers, a wonderful product and fantastic value. Here is a
sample of what we are doing about it so far:
- 5.8 million "Why
Ireland" leaflets dropped in January - respondents get follow up
of detailed offers.
- New special value
offers leaflet targeted at 3 million British newspaper readers
starting in March. Contact Fáilte
Ireland, the NITB or the IHF to load your offers on to our
website. Or, if you are a member of Manor House and Irish
Country Hotels, please contact your representative.
- Advertising (TV,
Press and Online) kicks off in February. Heavy emphasis on call
to action - linking to discoverireland.com and
partners.
- 5 product themed
advertorials in main and specialist publications.
- Week by week
tactical cooperative campaigns with 35 partners signed up so
far.
- Business tourists
targeted through direct marketing, exhibitions and lead
generation/sales calls.
- Targeted, offer
driven, consumer ezines each month, sponsored web offers and a
host of trade and consumer promotions.
There are many ways
for you to get involved, no matter what your budget is.
Please contact Miriam O'Connell for full details moconnell@tourismireland.com.
The GB campaign as
with those for other markets is driven by three goals:
- Selling Ireland -
why it's the best time ever to visit.
- Driving the value
message - Ireland offers tremendous value, North and South.
- It's easy - easy
to get here, easy to buy, easy to enjoy.
We need your support
and your best value deals to drive this home. Make sure they are
available on www.discoverireland.com
