Experience Northern Ireland, Titanic & More
Tourism Ireland is delighted to bring Northern Ireland to New York in a totally new and different way this week – showcasing its history, culture and heritage in our week-long promotion "Experience Northern Ireland, Titanic & More", which is taking place in the Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central Station, where millions of New Yorkers have an opportunity to see it. Partnering with Tourism Ireland in the promotion are National Museums Northern Ireland, the Northern Ireland Tourist Board and Belfast Visitor & Convention Bureau.

By staging this event, we're highlighting Belfast and Northern Ireland's rich and diverse history, while at the same time putting the new Northern Ireland in the spotlight and showcasing some of the best that Northern Ireland tourism has to offer.
This is just part of a very busy autumn promotional programme which is under way in major markets – for example, in Britain a campaign is promoting Belfast City of Music and highlighting how easy it is to get here, the great value on offer from the industry and the wonderful things to do and see.
We'll be keeping our foot on the marketing pedal over the coming months and we look forward to launching our 2011 Marketing Plans early in December.
Millions of New Yorkers see Northern Ireland, Titanic & More
Millions of New Yorkers are seeing some of the best that Northern Ireland tourism has to offer in an exclusive new showcase, "Experience Northern Ireland, Titanic & More", organised this week by Tourism Ireland at the iconic Grand Central Terminal, New York. Highlighting Titanic – the centrepiece of the event – and some of Northern Ireland's top tourism attractions, entertainers and chefs, the showcase will be seen by many of the 4.5 million New York commuters and visitors to the city who will pass through Grand Central Terminal while the showcase is in situ.
On Tuesday evening, Minister for Tourism, Arlene Foster MLA, addressed over 300 top travel trade, media and corporate contacts from New York and the tri-State area at a high profile reception in Grand Central, telling them why they and their customers should visit Northern Ireland. The event, a celebration of Northern Ireland culture, was also attended by Minister for Culture, Arts and Leisure, Nelson McCausland MLA.
The event is also supported by Continental Airlines and Belfast International Airport, along with ten US based tour operators who are there to sell their packages. Others participating include the National Trust, Causeway Coast & Glens, Hostelling International Northern Ireland, B&B Ireland, Hastings Hotels, Manor House Hotels, Ulsterbus Tours, the Share Centre, Derry City Tours, Titanic Tours, Airporter, Ballydougan Pottery, Drenagh Estate, Hilden Brewery and Belle Isle Estate – all helping us to bring the Northern Ireland experience to life.
