Dear Colleagues

Today Tourism Ireland launches a new Industry Opportunities website which gives details about the initial range of marketing opportunities in overseas markets during 2010 for the industry around the island of Ireland.

The new site has been designed to meet the needs of our ever-changing industry and new opportunities will regularly be added by our market teams.  By registering your details on the site, we will ensure that you are kept up-to-date with opportunities as they arise.

Based on industry feedback we have extended the range of opportunities to ensure that there are more low-cost opportunities available during 2010.  We have also extended the range of direct-to-consumer activities available to you.  The tactical nature of the majority of our campaigns in 2010 will increase the options for you to get involved.  Key for us next year will be demonstrating good value, along with highlighting the range of things to see and do around the island of Ireland.

Tourism Ireland is committed to working with the industry on the island of Ireland to gain as much business as possible in a very competitive environment in 2010.  There are currently more than 200 ways to get involved featured on the site, with more on the way.
We look forward to working with you on these and other initiatives in the months ahead.

I would encourage you to talk to my colleagues in the overseas market offices about the opportunities and the options available to you during 2010.  You will find full contact details on the site.  Should you wish to engage in a number of markets, or if you are just looking for advice on where to begin, please contact Geraldine Egan or myself who will be more than happy to help – our contact details are below.  We would also be delighted to hear any feedback you have on the site and the range of opportunities available.  Our colleagues in Fáilte Ireland, the Northern Ireland Tourist Board, Dublin Tourism and Shannon Development will also be able to point you in the right direction.

You can access the site by clicking on the Industry Opportunities button on www.tourismireland.com

We look forward to working with you to grow your business in 2010.
